We use adventure, teamwork and service to help young people grow in confidence and character.
Our pack serves families in the Raleigh area through the Cub Scout program. Like Cub Scout packs across the country, we provide age-appropriate adventures that encourage learning, outdoor activity, citizenship, service, creativity and family involvement.
Throughout the year, Scouts can look forward to pack meetings, den activities, camping and outdoor experiences, service opportunities, hands-on projects, special events and favorite Scouting traditions such as the Pinewood Derby.
Outdoor adventures give Scouts a chance to explore, learn and build confidence together.
Pack traditions such as the Pinewood Derby bring creativity, family involvement and plenty of fun.
Scouting gives young people frequent opportunities to practice responsibility, cooperation, respect and perseverance. Our volunteer leaders create a positive environment where Scouts can try something new, make mistakes, learn from them and celebrate progress.
Our pack is hosted by Open Door Church and includes brief, age-appropriate reflections rooted in Christian values as part of some opening and closing gatherings, along with prayer at appropriate times. These simple moments complement Scouting’s emphasis on character, service and treating others well.
Parents and families are an important part of Cub Scouting. Pack events are designed to create experiences families can share, whether that means an evening activity, cheering on a Pinewood Derby car, serving the community or spending time together outdoors.
We meet on the first and third Tuesday evenings of each month from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at Open Door Church, 9801 Durant Road in Raleigh. Visitors are welcome to contact us and arrange to attend a meeting.
